FAQs

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF CUSTOM GRAPHICS?

SUBLIMATION: In sublimation printing, a design is printed on special paper with sublimation ink. The paper and design are then heated and pressed onto a blank (like a t-shirt or mug). The heat and pressure cause the ink to turn into a gas, which is then absorbed by the blank and solidifies, creating a permanent, vibrant print.  Applied to light colors only!

DTF, or Direct-to-Film transfer, is a printing method where designs are printed onto a special film, then transferred onto garments or other materials using a heat press. This method allows for vibrant, detailed prints on various fabrics and even hard surfaces. It's a versatile and increasingly popular alternative to traditional printing methods like screen printing or heat transfer vinyl.

Designs are printed onto a special PET film using a DTF printer, which utilizes specialized inks and a white underbase layer.

.A hot-melt adhesive powder is applied to the printed film, acting as a binder between the ink and the fabric. The film with the adhesive-backed design is placed on the desired material (e.g., t-shirt, bag, etc.) and heat-pressed, transferring the design.

Key Advantages of DTF Transfers:

  • Versatility:

DTF can be used on a wide range of fabrics (cotton, polyester, blends, nylon, leather) and even non-fabric materials.

  • Vibrant Colors & Detail:

DTF prints are known for their vibrant colors and ability to reproduce intricate designs with fine details.

  • Durability:

DTF transfers are durable, resisting cracking and fading even after multiple washes.

Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), also known as iron-on vinyl, is a specialized material used for creating custom designs on fabrics and other surfaces. It's a flexible, plastic-like material with a heat-activated adhesive backing, allowing it to be transferred onto a garment or substrate using a heat press or iron. HTV is popular for personalized apparel, decorations, and craft projects.
